Owning a small business is a labour of love, and we love our small business owners! We asked the businesses of Moss End Garden Village to share a short story of why they decided to start their business, what they love about owning a business at Moss End, or just something entertaining about themselves… 

This week we’re introducing Robyn's Nest Cafe.

Robyn decided to open Robyn’s Nest because she has always been passionate about coffee & cakes and creating a cosy, welcoming space for people to gather and connect. Coffee has a unique way of bringing people together and creating a sense of community, and she wanted to be a part of that. Robyn also saw a need in her community for a high-quality coffee shop with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and therefore wanted to fill that gap. Opening her own cafe has allowed Robyn to pursue her passion, creating a space where people can come together and enjoy scrumptious delights in a comfortable environment.

“I love the creativity that comes with running a cafe - experimenting with new drink recipes and designing the space to be warm and inviting.” Said Robyn.

Another aspect that she enjoys is the satisfaction! Providing a high-quality product and excellent customer service to each and every person who comes through the door. “Robyn’s Nest brings me a sense of joy and purpose in my community, and I feel grateful to be able to share my passion for coffee, small business and community with others.” Continued Robyn.

It’s clear that Robyn is passionate about connecting the community. Whether it's through hosting events, collaborating with other local businesses, or simply creating a welcoming space for people to gather. She believes that community is what makes life richer and more meaningful. Seeing people come together, make new connections, and support one another is incredibly rewarding for Robyn.

When asked what is enjoyable about being part of the Moss End Garden Village Community, Robyn said “I love being a part of the Moss End Garden Village because it is a community of small businesses that support and uplift one another. As a small business owner, it can be challenging to compete with larger corporations, but being a part of a shopping village like Moss End, gives us a unique opportunity to collaborate and work together towards our collective success.”

The atmosphere at Moss End Garden Village is fun and inviting, with a focus on creating an enjoyable experience for all the family. This aligns perfectly with Robyn’s business values making it the ideal location for Robyn’s Nest.

What you might not know is that Robyn has 3 businesses - Robyn’s Nest Moss End (cafe), Robyn’s Nest School Green (cafe) and The Business Nest (small business support). If that wasn’t busy enough, she also has a 1-year-old daughter (who she makes very fun baking videos with - check it out on Instagram), 2 dogs (cockapoo & labradoodle) and also a giant ginger cat!
