After four decades in corporate life, Monica made a bold move to pursue a lifelong dream: owning her own café. When the opportunity arose to take over a much-loved local business in Bracknell, she didn’t hesitate.

Trading the office desk for a coffee counter, Monica now finds joy in doing what she loves – welcoming guests, connecting with the community, and serving up delicious food and drinks in a relaxed, friendly space.

To honour her Italian heritage, Monica renamed the café La Dolce Vita Caffé – “the sweet life.” It’s a reflection of everything the café stands for: simple pleasures, shared moments, and everyday warmth. Being gluten intolerant herself, Monica is passionate about ensuring La Dolce Vita offers delicious gluten-free and vegan options, so everyone can enjoy the experience. And yes, she proudly serves Lavazza coffee – rich, smooth, and full of flavour.
